Volunteers: The Lifeblood of Hospice Services

Volunteers are an important and integral part of Richmond County Hospice, Inc. We invite you to enjoy the personal satisfaction and rewards of helping others. Hold the hand of a patient, provide emotional support to a family member, or provide a break for a caregiver. You may help with reading, letter writing, or just become a companion. As a Hospice volunteer, you are an essential part of our organization, helping us to serve our patients with peace, comfort, and dignity.

Types of Volunteers:

  • Patient Care

  • Office Support

  • Bereavement

Volunteers are needed to:

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to patients

  • Provide respite care for families and caregivers

  • Assist with clerical duties

  • Assist with events and fundraising in the community

Richmond County Hospice Career Opportunities

Richmond County Hospice is hiring for the following position:

HOSPICE AIDES: Must be certified as a Nursing Assistant (NAI or NAII)

Richmond County Hospice offers a unique opportunity to provide personal care and end of life support to individuals in their "home". RCH Hospice Aides carry a small caseload providing one on one direct care as a member of our interdisciplinary team. Hospice Aides assist patients with ADL's, light housekeeping, and provide companionship to their patients and families during their end of life journey.

We also have Hospice Aides at our Hospice Haven Inpatient Center. Hospice Aides at Hospice Haven work 12 hour shifts.

Please join our team as a full time Floater aide.
